Afterschool Adventure Club for Garway Primary School

Longtown Outdoor Learning Centre is delighted to offer an after-school Adventure Club to pupils of Year 3, 4, 5 and 6.

Club sessions will take on Monday evenings from 3.30 – 6.30 pm commencing Monday 13th September 2021.

Pupils will be collected and returned to the school entrance at the times stated above in the Centres minibuses.

Sessions will be run by qualified instructors and apprentice instructors from Longtown Outdoor Learning Centre.  All staff hold the relevant leadership / instructor awards, First Aid certificates and enhanced DBS certificates.

All the activities offered will be run according to Longtown OLC’s Risk Management Systems (which incorporate the latest Government guidance regarding Covid-19).

Costs

Parents will be invoiced for a full-term of activities: 11 sessions @ £9.50 per session = £104.50

Sessions will take place on: 13/09, 20/09, 27/09, 4/10, 11/10 and 18/10.  After the October half term break sessions will continue on the 1/11, 8/11, 15/11, 22/11 and 29/11.

Standard Kit List; (a supplementary kit list will be required for wet activities)

• Warm trousers e.g. tracksuit bottoms (not jeans)
• T-shirt / Long sleeved top
• Warm fleece / Hoody and a spare
• A waterproof jacket
• Waterproof over-trousers (These can be provided if you don’t have them)
• Hat and gloves
• Torch with spare batteries
• Walking boots or wellies (These can be provided if you don’t have them)
• Comfortable socks
• A packed tea
• Bottle of water
• Any medication e.g. asthma inhaler
• Small rucksack (a larger school bag is ideal)
