Longtown P.S. Little Adventurers Autumn Club

£63.00 – £72.00Little Adventurers Afterschool Club will be run for children in Year 2 and 3 of Longtown Primary School by Heather Zeale. Heather has recently joined the centre team as an Outdoor Learning Tutor and will be leading the club assisted by one of the centre apprentices. The club will run on specified Monday evenings from 3 – 5.30 pm. A draft programme is attached. The first club session will be on Monday 12th September.
Parents should collect their children from the Courtyard of Longtown Outdoor Learning Centre (through passageway from the car park) not the school at 5.30pm.

All the activities are run in accordance with the centre’s Risk Management procedures and Adventurous Activities Licence. A charge of £7.00 per session applies with the option for parents to make an additional voluntary contribution of £1 per session towards the Trust’s work with disadvantaged children,.
Our Bursary fund is available if you would like to apply for financial assistance of up to 30% of this fee – if so, please complete and return the bursary application form here and email it to: rebecca@longtownoutdoorlearning.co.uk
Please note that the weather in the local hills can be very changeable and kit list items are mandatory. Provided it is safe, the club will go ahead whatever the weather although a substitute activity or venue may be used.
We will meet children at school at 3 pm and the activity will run until the time specified on the programme. Children should be collected from the car park or courtyard of Longtown Outdoor Learning Centre NB. not the school at 5.30 pm.
To get the most out of the club children should commit themselves to the club and aim to attend all the planned sessions.
Kit List for Little Adventurers
- Warm trousers e.g. tracksuit bottoms (not jeans) or leggings
- T-shirt / Long sleeved top
- Warm fleece / Hoody
- A waterproof jacket
- Waterproof over-trousers (These can be provided if you don’t have them)
- Wellies
- Packed tea
- Bottle of water
- Any medication e.g. asthma inhaler
- Small rucksack (a larger school bag is ideal)
