Financial Assistance

We offer affordable experiences with a range of pricing options dependent on the time of year, accommodation selected, length of stay and programme choice. We operate two bursary funds to enable all children, regardless of financial circumstances to take part in our courses. We don’t want anyone to miss out and both of these funds make it possible for those who wouldn’t normally be able to afford such an opportunity to be included at generously subsidised rates.

Northamptonshire Children & Families

Bursaries are on offer from the Wilson Foundation for young people from the county of Northamptonshire.   Awards of up to 40% of the Longtown course fee (excluding any additional costs such as coach transport) may be given to young people in financial need.

How do I apply for the Wilson Bursary?

Discuss the bursary criteria with the school’s Visit Leader. They will be able to inform you whether your child meets the criteria or not.  If you meet the criteria, complete the Wilson Bursary application form (PDF 157KB) and submit it to your school.  Your application form will be sent to us for consideration.  We will inform your child’s school of the outcome.

The Longtown Bursary for other counties

The centre has a limited fund to help children who come to the centre from outside of Northamptonshire. This fund is for residential courses, and the maximum award that can be made is 30% of the Longtown Course fee.
